I'm a College Graduate!

Ok, so it's only a community college and I still have almost two years left until my bachelors... but who cares! WOOHOO!

Just finished up my last final exam today and I couldn't be happier! Kurt still has one more exam left to take on Monday, but after that we are free... for a month, that is. I finished my A.A. with a 3.12 GPA (which is a miracle considering where it started in 2006!) and Kurt will have a 3.7 (Such a brainiac!)

Kurt has definately set his mind to Medical School (hopefully FSU) and met with his advisor to make sure that he has everything in order. The advisor told him that if he keeps up what he's been doing, he will be super competitive and should have no problem getting accepted to Med School. I'm so proud of him!

Well, that's all for now. Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

First Week Down!

We have just finished up our first week of the Fall semester! Yay, only 14 weeks left! Classes are'nt so bad for me, as I have left all of the easy ones for this last semester. Kurt, on the other hand, doesn't have it quite so easy...... I can even hear him right now mumbling to himself because he is trying to figure out his differential equations homework. :o)

We have both received our acceptance letters to USF, so we are good to go for January. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Only a little less than two years left for me after the start of the new year. Kurt has a meeting with the academic advisor at the College of Medicine at USF next week. He has started to explore the possibilities becoming an orthopedic surgeon.... lots more school.... but how exciting!

That's all for now!

Weekend Recap...

Just got back from Ginnie Springs yesterday. What a great weekend! It rained a ton while we were there, but it was still awesome to be on vacation. Plus, Kurt got to utilize his sweet MacGyver (yes, that is how you spell it, I looked it up) skills to build a "porch" in front of our tent so that we could sit or grill out when it was raining.

My favorite part of of being at GS is always the crazy drunk conversations that you hear while you're laying in your tent at night. For example, here's a little clip from a drunken convo that we caught on Friday night... and yes, we did stare at them from a little opening in the tent window...

Scene:

1:00 am
A large crowd of screaming inebriates jump into the springs next to our tent... two stay behind.

Guy: (slurring)..... Why did you stay, you could've just gone with them.

Girl: (also slurring... and yelling)..... I didn't come out here to take care of you or make sure you are having fun! You just need to decide if you want to be with me, or if you don't!

Guy: I only came out here for you. I'm not having fun, I don't even enjoy fun!

Girl: (starting to walk away)..... Well, I'm gonna walk this way. You can either come with me or not.

Guy: ok.

Girl: I don't even know where the damn tent is....

I don't even enjoy fun! Come on now, that's the greatest one-liner in the world!
Saturday the weather was still crappy, but we tubed down the river anyway. That's when I got attacked by a piranha! Ok, so technically it was most likely not a piranha, but the little sucker still drew blood! I was just laying out on my tube, relaxing, when all of a sudden a fish just leaps out of the water and takes a chunk out of my spine! Go figure! After that, it was still raining, so we packed it up and called it a weekend.

Now, it's back to the real world!

Back to School, Back to School.....

Kurt and I are heading out to Ginnie Springs on Friday morning for a mini-vaca before the Fall semester starts. I can't wait, I love camping! We've had so much fun together these last couple months that we've had off, I don't want it to end!
